The entire Laker nation was in ecstasy after the Los Angeles Lakers clinched championship number 17 for the franchise on Sunday, following their Game 6 victory over the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. This, of course, included Vanessa Bryant, who herself commemorated the title win by getting a new tattoo in honor of her fallen husband, Kobe Bryant.

Vanessa shared a few snaps of her fresh ink on her private Instagram account (h/t Adam S. Levy of DailyMail.com):

Vanessa had the names of all the members of her immediate family inked on her right foot. The new tattoo reads, “Kobe Vanessa Natalia Gianna Bianka Capri”. The 38-year-old also noted that she had the tattoo done by renowned Los Angeles-based artist, Mister Cartoon aka Mark Machado. Vanessa showed off her new ink while wearing an expensive-looking pair of suede heels.

Shortly after the Lakers won the title on Sunday, Vanessa sent her congratulatory message for L.A. general manager Rob Pelinka, who himself was Kobe's former sports agent and good friend. Kobe and Pelinka became extremely close, with the latter serving as a godfather to Kobe's second-born daughter, Gianna. With his father, Gigi was one of the nine victims that passed during that horrific helicopter crash back in January.

It is worth noting that Vanessa made headlines a few weeks ago because of a highly-publicized family dispute. Her own mother claimed that Vanessa had kicked her out of the family house and that Vanessa had stopped supporting her financially — a claim that Vanessa vehemently denies.
