The Minnesota Vikings are hoping to keep their momentum going on the road versus the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15. It seems they will finally have their biggest weapon on offense back in wide receiver Adam Thielen.

Thielen has been battling a hamstring injury since Week 7 of the 2019 NFL season. Fortunately, Minnesota is optimistic that he will be able to return after logging in some practice time, via Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Vikings WR Adam Thielen is back at practice as he works his way back from a hamstring injury. Running back Alexander Mattison is the only Vikings player not practicing.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter added that he is expected to play against the chargers unless there is a setback with his injury.

Barring a setback in practice this week, Vikings’ WR Adam Thielen is expected to return to the lineup Sunday against the Chargers after missing the past four games due to a hamstring injury, per league source.

This is certainly an encouraging update for the Vikings. Thielen's absence has left a rather notable void in the offense for the bulk of the year, however, it appears quarterback Kirk Cousins will finally have his receiving corps fully intact.

Regardless, it is safe to assume that Minnesota will still take a cautious approach with their Pro Bowl wideout. He had aggravated his injury the last time he tried to make his return and the last thing they need is another setback this close to the playoffs.

Even if Thielen plays, it will be interesting to see if the Vikings limit his workload depending on the situation versus the Chargers.
