The 2022 NBA Draft is set to kick 0ff on Thursday, at 8 P.M. Eastern. It should be an evening full of drama as teams across the league are involved in numerous trade rumors. The Golden State Warriors have received interest from the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, and Orlando Magic in the 28th pick overall. However, general manager, Bob Myers gets real on Golden State's plans with the selection.

According to Anthony Slater, Myers isn't in a rush to trade the pick at all. He explains how the Warriors are wanting to see which veterans will be available in free agency and isn't afraid to use a roster spot on a rookie. If that's the case, Golden State may seriously consider using the pick in the NBA Draft.

Even so, “with three young recent lottery picks—James Wiseman, Moses Moody, and Jonathan Kuminga—in need of development and with an ever-mounting tax bill, Golden State is said to be willing to listen to offers for the pick, rather than adding another rookie to the mix,” per Heavy.com. With that in mind, it sounds like the Warriors will have plenty of options when they go on the clock on Thursday night.

Three teams to keep an eye on as potential trade suitors with the Warriors are the Celtics, Knicks, and Magic. Boston might be interested in an older rookie who can contribute immediately, while it sounds like New York is trying to create a trade package to move up to select Jaden Ivey. Additionally, Orlando needs as many young assets as possible for their current rebuild, according to Heavy.com.

Either way, the Warriors are going to weigh their options, as there are numerous directions the front office can go. Keep an eye on Golden State, as trade talks will ramp up on Thursday night at the 2022 NBA Draft.
