It appears Golden State Warriors general manager Bob Myers will be able to use all financial avenues this summer in terms of improving the roster.

Despite the ACL injury Klay Thompson suffered in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, all signs point toward the Warriors re-signing the All-Star shooting guard to a five-year max contract.

Meanwhile, the future of superstar small forward Kevin Durant is unknown. KD has been heavily linked to signing with the New York Knicks in free agency, but the two-time Finals MVP could still re-sign with the Warriors on a max deal. Durant is expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season recovering from his Achilles tendon tear.

DeMarcus Cousins becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer, while Shaun Livingston has a non-guaranteed contract for the 2019-20 campaign. Myers and the Warriors might have to be aggressive in free agency in terms of signing non-max contract players since Thompson could be out all of next season too. Whether Golden State has interest in re-signing Cousins remains to be seen.

The Warriors are already being counted out for next season due to the injuries that Thompson and Durant suffered. You can expect Stephen Curry and Draymond Green to use the doubt as motivation, but it's clear Myers has to make some moves once free agency starts.
