It definitely looked weird at first, but D'Angelo Russell looks so well in a Golden State Warriors uniform. The dynamic guard is doing a fantastic job given the situation of the Warriors post-Kevin Durant. Both Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry were injured, leaving him with only Draymond Green to try and win games with. However, he wouldn't want it any other way.

Bleacher Report's Leo Sepkowitz published an intricate article that looks to check on how Russell is doing now that he's on the Warriors. Turns out that he's more than happy that he's playing for the Warriors.

When Durant announced his decision, Russell's agent called, informing him the Warriors were ready to offer a max contract (four years, $117 million) via sign-and-trade. Russell had braced for the moment, and jumped at the opportunity. “I'm like, ‘Why the fuck is you on the phone with me?!'” he says. “‘Tell them yes!'”

You'd be forgiven to think that D'Angelo Russell just jumped the gun into the deal without even thinking about his future. However, former teammate Jared Dudley would be the first to tell you otherwise. The young guard called the journeyman once he caught wind that both Durant and Kyrie Irving are looking to move to Brooklyn.

And so Russell would ask Dudley about his options: “If Kyrie and KD come, how can this and that happen? What if I want to go there? Explain to me a sign-and-trade.” Dudley, a mentor to many, was impressed. “Out of every young player I've been associated with,” he says, “he asked the most questions.”

He's proven this season that his All-Star performance last year was no fluke at all. He's averaging 23.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 0.8 steals a game. His shooting numbers haven't dropped much since his move, and he's doing everything he can to lead an undermanned Warriors squad in a stacked Western Conference.
