Draymond Green notably shrunk an inch after being measured at 6-foot-6 when he took it into his own hands to record his actual measurement without socks or shoes on, lining up at 78 inches even after seven years of being listed at 6-foot-7. While the hype was real to find out how tall the Golden State Warriors part-time center really was, now that the cat is out of the bag, he no longer cares to extrapolate on the matter.

“Why does that even matter?” Green said before Thursday night’s 143-123 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to Rusty Simmons of The San Francisco Chronicle. “I actually used to care, because it did matter when I got drafted and stuff. But I don’t even care now. I don’t care if the whole world knows I’m 6-4.

“It doesn’t matter anymore, at this point. Actually, I’m not 6-4, but you get my gist. They’re not going to re-draft me or anything like that. I’ve shown what I can do with the height I have. Who cares now?”

Some were suggesting that Green was only 6-foot-5, including his head coach Steve Kerr, who claimed his defensive extraordinaire only had “a couple of inches” on him. But that got put to rest quickly after Green's measurements showed the shoes only added one inch of height.

Green also has a 7-1¼ wingspan and an 8-10 standing reach, which he's had to use to his full extent to pull down rebounds and challenge shots in the paint and the perimeter.

Kerr said it best on Wednesday, shortly after Green measured himself for the world to see:

“It doesn’t matter [how tall he is]. If a guy can play, he can play,” said Kerr. “I don’t care how tall Draymond is. He’s pretty damn good.”
