Speaking to ESPN while riding bicycles in San Francisco, Golden State Warriors veteran power forward Draymond Green opened up about the landscape of the NBA and was asked what happened in the summer that “blew his mind.”

ESPN: This was the craziest NBA offseason we've ever seen. What development blew your mind?

Green: The Clippers. And like out of nowhere that happened.

Green is referring to the Los Angeles Clippers' offseason coup, landing reigning NBA Finals MVP forward Kawhi Leonard in free agency and trading for All-Star forward Paul George from the Oklahoma City Thunder in July.

George, who missed the first games of the season due to injury, made his Clippers debut on Thursday night, scoring 33 points in a near double-double in L.A.'s road loss to the New Orleans Pelicans.

Along with George and Leonard, Doc Rivers' team also re-signed top perimeter defender in point guard Patrick Beverley and acquired solid depth piece in forward Maurice Harkless from the Portland Trail Blazers,

Now with George back in the lineup — despite Leonard dealing with “load management” — Rivers can finally begin to form the basis for fine-tuning what could be a dangerous Clippers group.

Despite giving up young, promising combo guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander in the George trade and multiple draft picks, the Clippers raised their window of opportunity by collecting both PG and Kawhi and threaten the Los Angeles Lakers for L.A. dominance.

All the while, Green's Warriors look to be falling off in the other direction following five consecutive Finals trips.
