After acquiring guards Shabazz Napier and Treveon Graham from the Brooklyn Nets in the sign-and-trade for All-Star guard D'Angelo Russell, the Golden State Warriors are flipping Napier and Graham with cash to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Warriors are losing two-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant, who joins Brooklyn with and fellow All-Star Kyrie Irving and center DeAndre Jordan. Irving played for the Boston Celtics the past two seasons while Jordan suit up for the Dallas Mavericks and New York Knicks during the 2018-19 NBA campaign.

Durant and Irving are reportedly taking less than a max contract in order to play with each other alongside Jordan in Brooklyn under head coach Kenny Atkinson.

The Warriors, meanwhile, have also re-signed All-NBA shooting guard Klay Thompson to a max deal worth $190 million over five years. Thompson is also reportedly receiving a 15 percent trade kicker and there is no option on the final year of the contract.

Thompson tore his ACL in the decisive Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals when the dynastic Warriors fell to the first-time champs Toronto Raptors. It's unlikely Thompson will see the hardwood during the 2019-20 season when the team is welcomed to their new home, the Chase Center in Mission Bay, San Francisco.

The Warriors had to trade veteran wing Andre Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies to clear cap space for the max contract in D'Angelo Russell.

In the meantime, the Warriors hope to be competitive with Stephen Curry and Draymond Green signed with the team, alongside the rehabilitating Thompson and now potentially Russell — although there's speculation that the one-time All-Star could be moved too.
