A week of workouts with the Golden State Warriors came to an end for Isaiah Thomas, and it didn't have a happy ending. Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports Thomas has left the Bay Area without an offer from the Warriors.

The fact that the Warriors elected to go in another direction doesn't mean Thomas wasn't impressive. The team just decided the roster needed something other than a point guard after seeing what he had to offer. If you follow Thomas, you know this isn't the end for him.

The former All-Star made it clear that he isn't interested in playing overseas at all, so it wouldn't be surprising to hear more news on Thomas with another team.

From the outside looking in, the Warriors seemed to be a good fit for the 5-foot-9 point guard because of the lack of scoring punch behind Stephen Curry. One problem could've been that Thomas is a volume shooter, and whoever the backup point guard is will need to be efficient on offense. Thomas needing the ball in his hands to be productive could change the flow of the Warriors' offense. That could have eventually turned into a dilemma the Warriors don't want, and there were also defensive concerns as well.

If reports are true, it appears the Warriors were still interested to some degree, but they weren't willing to offer the opportunity he was looking for. Thomas hasn't spoken about his week with the Warriors yet, so perhaps we'll find out more later.

The one thing we know is Thomas won't be the next backup point guard for Stephen Curry. We will have to wait a little longer to see what's next for Isaiah Thomas.
