Despite an explosive locker room argument between Draymond Green and Kevin Durant following an overtime loss to the LA Clippers, some Golden State Warriors players expect the jewelry on their fingers will ultimately weigh more than the sharp words said during a heated exchange.

“Those dudes won a chip together. They will be brothers again tomorrow,” a Warriors player told Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

Other players in the locker room have appeared willing to help reconcile their friendship, hoping this bump in the road doesn't escalate to being more than a bad day or a bad week, as the balance of this NBA season could be well in play.

Green crossed the line by bringing up a personal issue with Durant's free agency stunt when the two were initially arguing about Green's poor decision-making that cost them a potential shot attempt before the end of regulation.

A meaningless turnover in the regular season has now fanned the flames of utter discontent between two of the most prominent players in the rotation, but given Green's character, it was likely a nugget that would have come out at one point or another throughout the season.

This was hardly the first publicly explosive moment Green and Durant have shared, as the latter once explained they “MF'ed each other” during disagreements in game situations, but this could be a whole other ballgame, given the sensitivity of the topic and the brutal honesty emanating from Green's profanity-laced tirade.

Only time will tell if the rings on their fingers ultimately mean more than the words uttered in the bowels of a red-hot Staples Center locker room.
