The Golden State Warriors are signing 6-foot-6 shooting guard Damion Lee to a two-way contract, per The Athletic's Shams Charania.

Lee, 26, is returning to the Warriors, where he appeared in 36 games during the 2018-19 NBA season. The undrafted free agent out of the University of Louisville signed first with the Boston Celtics and later Atlanta Hawks, competing in 15 games during the 2017-18 season. This time last summer he signed an initial two-way contract with Golden State; again, he'll be a two-way player for the Warriors for the upcoming season.

Lee also appeared on the Warriors' G League affiliate team, the Santa Cruz Warriors, between 2017-19, averaging 20.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game in 24 contests last seasons, while shooting 47.5% from the floor, 39.8% from deep, and 82.8% from the charity stripe.

In his 36 games for the big-league Warriors, Lee averaged 4.9 points and 2.0 rebounds in 11.7 minutes per game.

The Warriors previously signed 6-foot-1 Boston College guard Ky Bowman to a two-way deal last week. Bowman, 21, went undrafted in the 2019 entry but got the invite to participate in the NBA's Summer League for the Bay Area franchise, appearing in four games in the Las Vegas, Nevada, exhibition competition and three contests in Sacramento, California.

Lee and Bowman will find most of their professional minutes coming from the G League with Santa Cruz, as the two-way contract stipulates the players cannot spend more than 45 days with the big-league team. Two-way players often find the bulk of their playing time in the G League unless teams needs them due to injuries or a particular advancement in performance quality by the fringe-NBA player.
