Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson, made his return Sunday, January 9th at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He registered 17 points, in 20 minutes of play to help secure a 96-82 victory. It was an emotional, and exciting night that fans will remember the rest of their life. In this post, though, we're answering a question on all Dubs fans' minds — is Klay Thompson playing vs Bucks?

The next game, he went up against Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies. He had another solid performance and scored 14 points. Thompson wasn't proud of either performance. But he is happy to be playing basketball again. Now, let's get to the real question.
Is Klay Thompson playing vs Bucks?
Before this season Thompson hadn't played in an NBA game in 941 days. The last time he suited up was in the NBA Finals back in 2019. Thompson tore his left ACL after being fouled by Danny Green. The Warriors lost that series to the Toronto Raptors. It was their first championship in franchise history.
It was also the last season Kevin Durant played for the Dubs. He suffered an Achilles tendon injury in that same series. The shorthanded Warriors squad did what they could, but were eventually overpowered, and dethroned by the Raptors.

The following season Thompson was getting ready to return to action. That's when he suffered another season-ending injury. This time, it was a torn right Achilles. This injury sidelined him till the 2021-22 season. Now he's completely healthy. But the Warriors are being very cautious with the 3-time champion.
The Dubs have Thompson on a minutes restriction. They're playing him 20 minutes per game. The more time he gets on the court with no problems, the more minutes he will play.
Klay Thompson on his minutes restriction:
"It's probably the biggest challenge for me… I want to play 35. But I got to dial it back, and accept the reality of what the last two years were like. You can't just take that much time off and jump into a 40-minute ball game."

Klay Thompson has started the last two games for the Dubs. Since he isn't on the team's injury report, it's safe to assume he's playing against the Bucks.
Klay Thompson is not on the Warriors’ injury report tomorrow in Milwaukee, indicating that he will play against the Bucks and rest on Friday night in Chicago against the Bulls.
