We now live in a world where Nick Young is an NBA champion – the same world where J.R. Smith is also a proud owner of an NBA ring himself.

Although Young and Smith were on opposite sides during the recently-concluded 2018 NBA Finals, the latter made sure to congratulate the former after the Warriors’ shooting guard emerged out of the plane in Oakland without a shirt on. Young’s shirtless celebration came two years after Smith made the look fashionable, and as the originator of that look, Smith took to Instagram to show Nick Young some love.

Young barely made an impact on the Warriors during the finals. He scored just a total of five points in 28 minutes of action across four games in the series. Nevertheless, he’s eligible to receive a ring and be called a champion.

J.R. Smith, on the other hand, averaged 9.5 points in 32.5 minutes per game during the series, though, he’s going to be remembered mostly for his costly blunder in Game 1.

It’s a nice gesture from Smith, considering how crushing the Cavs’ loss was at the hands of Golden State. It’s not that easy always to go the extra mile and be nice to an opponent after a loss, but Smith definitely showed that Henny-thing is possible.
