San Francisco, CA – The Golden State Warriors’  Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson urgently need help, especially if the Dubs desire to be contenders again. That required help might be in the hands of young talented rookies. In the 2021 NBA Draft, the Warriors departed with two lottery picks, Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody.

Kuminga, born in Congo, is only 18 years old, heading into his rookie season. Being the youngest player on the team, some would assume he’s a future investment. But the future can be a lot sooner than people think. When asked if he felt he could play right away for the Dubs, he replied.

“Yeah…as long as I stay working hard every day and trying to fit in with the rest of the group, it’s going to be a great thing for the team and me,” Kuminga told ClutchPoints.

At only 18 years old, Kuminga already has an NBA body. He stands at 6 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 210 pounds. His size and abilities will allow the Warriors to play him at both forward positions. The Golden State Warriors aren’t afraid of playing small ball either. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Kuminga play some Center. It would be an upgrade in the size department compared to last season. Mainly due to injuries last season, the Dubs were forced to play undersized players like Juan Toscano-Anderson and Eric Paschall at the center spot.

The Dubs used their lottery picks the past two seasons in acquiring James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, and Moses Moody, which is rare for a team in win-now mode.

The Warriors have to progress with the development of the young players while trying to compete for a championship. It will be a challenging task that Curry, Thompson, and the Warriors look forward to tackling.
