The Golden State Warriors' No. 7 pick in the 2021 draft, Jonathan Kuminga, might be the most athletic rookie in this year's class. At 18 years old, however, it was uncertain what position he will play with the Dubs this 2021-22 season.

That was until head coach Steve Kerr cleared the air after Wednesday's practice.

“I think the easiest way for him to make an impact would be as a four, in terms of limiting what he has to do offensively with decision making,” Kerr told ClutchPoints.

Kuminga's size and strength can make him a good defender, but it will take a ton of effort. However, the Warriors rookie does have the body and physical tools to develop into an elite player. Kuminga plays the game big, and he looks comfortable on both ends of the floor.

“We're at two days, so this is going to take a long time. You don't just show up at 19 in the NBA unless you're Magic Johnson or LeBron James. There aren't many exceptions. So it takes a lot of work and a lot of experience,” Kerr said.

Jonathan Kuminga is a fascinating player to watch. He can get to the basket at will against larger defenders and has elite leaping ability to finish around the rim. When training camp is over, the Warriors should have a clearer picture of how big or small his role will be this season.

Kuminga has been impressive so far, and the future looks very bright.
