Kevin Durant isn't backing down off Twitter despite the public criticism he receives for his social media activity. On Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors forward was back at it again after a fan criticized KD for who he is now.

On FS1's First Things First, Chris Broussard said:

“Durant texted me and said: ‘The guy you see now is the real me. The guy in OKC was the phony. I was just trying to please everybody.”

That video spawned a response from a Twitter user calling Durant a clown that no one respects. KD wouldn't take that insult sitting down. He replied in a mocking fashion, insinuating that the user was just looking for clout by tagging him in her tweet.

Tagging professional athletes—or celebrities in general—is a weak move. Everyone's free to have an opinion, of course, but whenever someone ruthlessly criticizes a public figure and tags them in said criticism, it reeks of an attention-seeking ploy. Durant calls this out directly by delivering the “clout” that was ordered.

This is one of Durant's best responses of late. Instead of arguing with her about whether or not he is a clown, he calls out the attention-seeking behavior. Of course, by calling out this behavior, he gives the attention that she was seeking, but Durant does it in a hysterical way.

At this point, it feels like Durant is just toying with everyone. He knows how worked up people get whenever he tweets and now he's very clearly feeding into it intentionally.

After getting into a Twitter spat with another user last week, Durant deleted his tweets and NBA Twitter went crazy. The user in question called out Durant again on Wednesday, but Durant reveals exactly why he deleted the tweets.
