James Wiseman may be the biggest guy on the Golden State Warriors' roster, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a rookie.

Wiseman's most important rookie duty for the team was safeguarding their beloved poker set. If you follow the Warriors, you know how seriously they take their poker games. Klay Thompson admitted to getting eaten alive by the sharks on the team a couple of years back, but also noted that it was an essential part of building their team chemistry, via Uninterrupted’s show Kneading Dough with host Maverick Carter

“What also would kill me for a while was the team poker game,” said Thompson on his days as a Warriors youngster.

“We had some sharks on the team. Every road trip on the plane. It’s a great way to build camaraderie.”

But clearly Thompson has gone from being chum to becoming one of those sharks on the team. That's why the 10-year veteran was not happy when James Wiseman messed up their poker game for a road trip.

“I think it was like the first half of the season. Steph said, ‘Rook, I'ma give you these poker chips but you've got to protect them with your life,' ” the Warriors rookie said in his latest video diary for The Undefeated. “I was on my way to the plane and I forgot the poker chips.

“Man, Klay lit my a– up. He was like, ‘Damn rook, how you forgettin' them poker chips!' That was like my first mistake ever, losing the poker chips.

“Everybody was clownin' me. They was like, ‘Man, you forgot the poker chips!' “

James Wiseman doesn't go into the specifics of what exactly Klay did to him. But knowing the Warriors sharpshooter, he's not afraid to clown on his teammates. The fact that Wiseman's a rookie certainly doesn't do him any favors. Hopefully we can see some on-court interactions from the two stars in the upcoming season as they recover from their season-ending injuries.
