If ever Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson ever gets stranded on an island, there’s one particular player he wants to survive with him: Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams.
Klay Thompson — through Fanatics — hosted a Reddit AMA, and one of the questions that popped up was which three NBA players he would choose to survive with him if he was stranded on an island.
As expected of Thompson, his answer didn’t disappoint. The Warriors sharpshooter immediately picked Steven Adams, and for the most hilarious reason.
“Probably Steven Adams up first because he looks like Aquaman and he would be well versed in the ocean,” Thompson explained in his answer.
Indeed, Thompson is not wrong with his assessment. Adams really looks like Aquaman, and it has been a recurring debate on the internet whether the Thunder big man should have gotten the role instead of Jason Momoa.
Funny enough, Thompson actually put a lot of thought into his answer. Besides Adams, Klay also picked Warriors teammate Stephen Curry and Utah Jazz legend Karl Malone to join him — and for a good reason.
“Then probably Steph (Curry) because it seems like he's a good critical thinker and solves problems really well. And a third, man that's a good question… who do I know in the NBA that likes to do outdoor stuff. I'd probably pick, Karl Malone because guy is a great hunter I guess. He'd be the hunter and gatherer of the crew. He has huge elbows, knock some animals out.”
Now, all we need to do is get those four players stranded on an island.
