Heading into the 2017-18 NBA season, Klay Thompson is focused on helping the Golden State Warriors win their third championship in four consecutive NBA Finals appearances. With numerous teams in the Western Conference improving, Thompson will be relied upon to guard the opponent's best guard.

While Thompson is only 27 years old and is in the prime years of his career, he revealed his ‘dream' job once his playing days are over according to Aaron Mansfield of Complex:

“It’s my dream to one day be an athletic director of a high school slash high school coach,” Thompson says. “When I’m done playing, everything I’ve learned, I just want to give back to the kids who are coming up.”

As some athletes struggle with retirement, it is encouraging to see that Thompson already has a game plan. With the three-time All-Star one of the best two-way players in the league, the future generation will have plenty to learn from him.

However, the focus remains on the present as the Warriors are looking to become the league's next dynasty. With it already being difficult to win back-to-back championships, the hope is Kevin Durant's second season along with an improved bench will help them stay sharp through the course of an 82-game season.
