Klay Thompson miraculously managed to make a start in Game 2 of the NBA Finals after suffering a high ankle sprain in the opening quarter of the series. After dropping 20 points and playing 34 minutes on Game 2 of the series against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Golden State Warriors sharpshooter assured he'll be once again a go for Wednesday's Game 3.

“Feels great,” said Thompson, when asked about his ankle injury. “Well, I wouldn't say great, but feels good. We'll see how I feel today, but it's The Finals and you do everything in your power to get right.”

“I got about 20 hours to do that, so I'll be good to go.”

Thompson's ankle was reportedly puffy and swollen after the game, having suffered the injury after a slipping J.R. Smith tumbled into Thompson's lower half, catching his ankle in the process.

The 6-foot-7 sniper played 34 of the remaining 36 minutes of regulation after being taken back to the locker room for further examination and received treatment around the clock by head physician Chelsea Lane, which allowed him to suit up for Game 2 of the series.

Thompson has been clutch during this series, averaging 22 points per game and dropping eight 3-pointers in 44 percent shooting through the first two games.
