There's nothing Klay Thompson loves more than basketball. But the Golden State Warriors star definitely has his dog Rocco as a close second.

An amazing piece from The Athletic's Jayson Jenks, Rustin Dodd, and more revealed just how much the Warriors sharpshooter loves his dog Rocco, with first-hand accounts from teammates past and present to prove it. Festus Ezeli, who was drafted by the Warriors back in 2012, revealed Thompson's affinity for his canine has been since Day 1.

“When I got drafted and started hanging out with Klay was when he first got Rocco,” said the ex-Warriors big man. “He would always want to spend time with the dog. He didn’t even really like hanging out with people. I’d be like, ‘What are you doing?' He’d be like, ‘Hanging out with Rocco.' I thought it was (a person) at first before I met the dog. I was like, ‘For real?'”

Klay Thompson's former teammate James McAdoo and Kevon Looney shared how Rocco was even there for the Warriors' playoff run. He very well could be the All-Star's good luck charm, given how deadly Klay gets when he's locked in during the postseason.

Looney: We were in the playoffs. I think we were about to go to the conference finals. Rocco just walked into the locker room. He went into the shower while everybody was showering, just walking around.

McAdoo: It was nothing for Rocco to show up at the Warriors practice facility.

Looney: I’m like, “We just let dogs just come into the locker room, walking around, chilling, wandering into the showers during the playoffs?” I remember (Anderson) Varejao telling me, “Hey, nowhere else in the NBA could this happen. Only Klay.”

Klay Thompson has had a grueling journey recovering from his injuries from the past two seasons. But fortunately the Warriors star had Rocco by his side the entire time.
