The Golden State Warriors are on a mission to getting back to title contention. The biggest factor for them to get back there is undoubtedly Klay Thompson's full recovery. Stephen Curry and Draymond Green made an appearance at NBA Summer League in Vegas where Curry dropped an update on his Splash Brother.

Klay Thompson has been gone two entire seasons for the Warriors. Aside from the obvious physical recovery that's taking place, Curry makes sure to highlight the mental side of things.

“Kevon Looney said it the other day. He's confident. He's energetic. He's in a good space mentality. This has been a long two years for him. He understands the work that's ahead of him and the opportunity that's ahead of him to come back to the Klay we all know and love. I know that's what his expectations are. He's putting in the work.”

Dealing with an absence that lengthy would definitely take its toll on anyone's head space. With supportive Warriors teammates like Stephen Curry, it probably makes the recovery progress that much easier, though. And Klay returned the favor, being there for his teammates as they went through the ups and downs of an NBA season without him.

“It was great to have around all year even though he wasn't playing in the locker room and bringing that energy for us. Once we get back to training camp, it'll be right at the end of his rehab progress. We can help get him over the hump and get him back there on the court.”

Klay Thompson is on the tail end of his recovery back to Golden State's active roster. Both Stephen Curry and Warriors fans can't wait.
