The Golden State Warriors were not expecting rookie guard Ky Bowman to see heavy minutes after signing the former Boston College star to a two-way contract in July. But thanks in part to a slew of injuries, Bowman has been a major contributor for a Dubs squad that is in transition mode.

Bowman is allowed just 13 more days with the Warriors, but he told Marc Spears of The Undefeated that he is merely focused on what he can do to help the team win before he heads to the G League:

“I’m really trying to take it one day at a time and not think about it too much. I can only control what I can control,” Bowman recently told The Undefeated.

“I am just going out there trying to do what I do and what the coaches want me to do,” Bowman said. “I am not trying to overplay or overthink.”

Bowman went undrafted out of BC this past summer, but the Warriors officially gave him a two-way deal after he showed out at the NBA's Summer League in Las Vegas.

The 22-year-old has continued to show out through his first 27 games with the Warriors. Bowman was averaging 8.3 points, 2.7 assists and 2.6 rebounds ahead of Sunday's game against the Houston Rockets. He was also shooting better than 40 percent from beyond the arc.

Bowman is intent on making his final days count as he hopes to create one last impression on head coach Steve Kerr before joining the G League affiliate.
