SAN FRANCISCO, CA — The Golden State Warriors started the season 2-0 by defeating both Los Angeles teams. Stephen Curry posted a triple-double against the Lakers then exploded for 45 points and 10 rebounds versus the Clippers. We've all seen him put up crazy numbers on television, but in person, it's different. It's amazing for the fans, his teammates, and the coaching staff.

After all the ridiculous shots Curry has made in his career, people still question Steve Kerr about if he wants Curry to calm down sometimes.

“No, I never say ‘no, no, no.’ I want him to shoot every time. [Assistant Coach/Director of Player Development] Jama [Mahlalela] came up to me after the game, and he said, ‘This may not be new to you guys, but (Assistant Coach) DeJan Milojević and I were just talking,' and this is their first time with the Steph Curry experience, and they were just blown away,” Kerr told ClutchPoints.

In Thursday's home opener, Curry started the first quarter by going off for 25 points, tying his career-high in an opening quarter. He reached that total shooting a perfect 9-for-9 from the field and 5-for-5 from deep, pushing Golden State to a double-digit lead.

“Even though we've all been here watching it, I'm still blown away,” Kerr said of Curry. “There's never been anybody like him and not just the shooting range, but just the competitiveness and the guts. Just an amazing, amazing player. What a game he had.”

Sunday, the Warriors will try to start the season with a sweep of all the California teams when they will take a quick trip up the road to face the Sacramento Kings. It will be the Warriors' third game of the season and the third viewing of the Steph Experience in 2021-22.
