With less than 20 games left in the shortened 72-game regular season, Golden State Warriors icon Stephen Curry has a good chance to snatch the scoring title away from Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal.

The observation was made by Anthony Slater of The Athletic. As of this writing, Curry is averaging 30.7 points per game while Beal is at 31.0 per night. Curry has been on a scoring tear this April at a whopping 39.9 points per game. If ever he boots out Beal, then it'll be his second scoring title. The first one was in 2016 (30.1 points per game) when he guided the Warriors to a historic 73-win season.

All this proves is that Curry still has it, contrary to critics' claims that the injury which sidelined him last season was the nail in the coffin to his career.

Yes, the Warriors are not the kings of the NBA. At least not yet. That's because they're working with a very different set of players. Curry and Draymond Green have the tall task of teaching Steve Kerr's system to the new guys on top of making sure they remain productive every night. Meanwhile, Klay Thompson is still out with an ACL injury.

All things considered, the Warriors still look good with a 27-28 record for ninth in the West. They will likely make it to the play-in tournament. From there, they will rely on experience against their younger foes. As for Curry, expect several scoring outbursts from him. Perhaps a 50-point game? Or even a 60 piece? Everything is within Curry's reach.
