Draymond Green's beef with the Boston Celtics fans was well-documented throughout the NBA Finals. The feud became so intense that at one point, the Boston home crowd started chanting “F–k you Draymond” chants toward the Golden State Warriors star.

Dubs head coach Steve Kerr has now spoken out about that incident, and in his mind, he believes that the Celtics fans went overboard:

“I thought they crossed the line,” the Warriors coach told Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner on the Point Forward Podcast (h/t Taylor Wirth of NBC Sports). “I'm all for booing guys, cheering for your own team. The appropriate cheer — if you want to go down that path — is ‘so-and-so sucks, so-and-so sucks.' … when they were saying ‘F you Draymond,' 20,000 people, I thought of Draymond's kid too.

“Like DJ, five years old, sweet kid, like the nicest kid … this sweet and innocent little guy and he's gotta sit there and watch as his dad gets cussed out by 20,000 drunk fans. People don't think of it in those terms when you're watching from the outside. I do think it rattled Draymond a little bit because that's pretty extreme.”

Needless to say, coach Kerr believes that the behavior of Celtics fans was unacceptable. He brings up an excellent point about Green's family being in attendance, and how his 5-year-old son had to endure all the profanity that was thrown in the direction of his dad.

As Kerr pointed out, Green was indeed affected by the crowd. Nevertheless, the Warriors prevailed, and now it's Dray who has had the last laugh.
