Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was in a great mood after missing out on the All-Star break festivities, giving former Warriors coach Don Nelson a tip of the cap before ending his postgame presser:

“Nellie and I are going to go smoke a joint,” said Kerr as he made his way out, according to Mark Medina of the The Mercury News.

Nelson has been living his best life since he last coached the Warriors, now living in Hawaii and rolling blunts aplenty after a long coaching and executive career in the league.

The 78-year-old coach took the stand before Thursday's matchup between the Warriors and Sacramento Kings as part of “We Believe” night, along with former franchise stars Jason Richardson and Stephen Jackson. When asked of his life after basketball, Nellie wasn't shy to admit his post-basketball activities:

“Yeah, I've been smoking some pot,” said Nelson, causing his former players to erupt in laughter, along with the rest of the press. “But I never smoked when I played or coached.”

Kerr has also admitted to trying marijuana a few times to help with his back condition, something that makes it much easier to pull off fun-laden exits like the one he had on Thursday night.
