The Golden State Warriors fell to the Detroit Pistons on the road, 111-102, as Steve Kerr was left helpless by the home team's menacing frontcourt tandem of Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond.
Griffin powered his way to 26 points, six rebounds, and five assists to go along with two 3-pointers. Meanwhile, Drummond was a beast inside the paint, tallying 16 points, 19 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks.
After the game, Steve Kerr met with members of the media for the routine scrum. However, one question has become too routine for the Warriors head coach that he no longer wants to be asked about it, via Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
“Haven’t we asked that question enough? I don’t know how many times I need to answer it.”
The Warriors' rotation at the center spot has been a revolving door thus far, though by design. Kerr deploys anyone among Damian Jones, Kevon Looney, and Jordan Bell to man the five-spot based on the matchups.
But in a few week's time, All-Star big man DeMarcus Cousins is expected to finally play his first game for the Warriors once fully recovered from an ACL injury.
Steve Kerr was highly critical of himself over the loss in Detroit, even stating that it was one of his worst performances as a coach.
