Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has opened up about the recent controversy that has swept the entire nation. The veteran shot-caller has not been shy about speaking his mind on Twitter regarding the current issue involving the United States and Iran — two nations that appear to be on the brink of an all-out war — and recently explained why he finds a need to do so.

That's a pretty thorough and obviously a well thought of statement from Kerr. Kerr is clearly not afraid to reveal his thoughts on this extremely polarizing issue. Coach Kerr has never been one to keep his thoughts to himself. Especially when it comes to social issues, and the current US-Iran spat is definitely no different for him. This is yet another manifestation of Kerr's belief in the fact that there are some things that are much bigger than basketball.

Despite his wealth of knowledge — both within and outside the realm of basketball — this season has certainly been quite a learning experience for Kerr. Kerr and his Warriors have arguably been the most dominant side over the past half decade or so, and their fall from grace this season has been nothing short of epic.

Following a brief winning streak, the Dubs have now lost four straight, and have yet to hit double digits in the win column this season. At 9-28, only the hapless Atlanta Hawks (8-28) have a worse record (barely) than Kerr's Warriors, and at this point, things are not exactly looking up for the Dubs.
