Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook has announced that he will no longer discuss the controversy surrounding his pregame dancing ritual that was disrupted in Game 2. But he’s going to keep dancing.

“If you guys want to talk about basketball, I'm open to that but I'm not going to keep talking about dancing,” Westbrook told reporters Wednesday.

The moment he is referring to was a confrontation between Westbrook and Dallas Mavericks forward Charlie Villanueva that took place last week. Villanueva stepped in the middle of Westbrook’s pregame ritual dance with teammate Cameron Payne, and Westbrook shoved him out of the way.

Since then, a video of the altercation has gone viral on social media. Westbrook, however, is tired of the attention.

“Some guys want some attention, but I'm not going to give the guy no more attention,” Westbrook said.

Payne also acknowledged the altercation, but said that it won’t keep him and Westbrook from continuing their pregame dance.

“Definitely,” Payne said when asked if he’ll keep dancing. “We did 84 of 'em.”

Villanueva has continued the argument on his own blog, simultaneously attempting to downplay the incident while standing his ground.

“If you want to go dancing and stuff like that, go to a nightclub,” Villanueva said. “Go to a club and dance. Go to ‘Dancing With the Stars' and be a dancer. You want to battle and dance, we can battle, but not in a basketball game. Plus, they were in my way, too, so I wasn't necessarily interrupting their dance.”
