The Atlanta Falcons have suffered a rough patch of form to start their season. With a 1-4 record through the first third of the season, it would be understandable if fans are frustrated with the way the team has performed so far.

While the final result is still uncertain, there's one thing that Falcons Nation can be excited for: the stellar production of wide receiver Julio Jones.

The star wideout is one of the few players who have been consistent for the Atlanta side. While the Cardinals aren't the toughest opponents they will face in their schedule, they will still need Jones to produce and help them win. Fortunately for them, this game is the perfect opportunity for the wide receiver to put on a show for his team's frustrated fans.

One of the reasons why fans should expect him to dominate is due to a key absence in the Cardinals defense in Patrick Peterson.

The Cardinals' star corner was slapped with a six-game suspension for testing positive on performance-enhancing drugs. The suspension, unfortunately, covers this game. This means the much-beloved rivalry the two stars have shared on the field won't happen this year.

Without a star corner stopping him, it's all up to Jones to turn on the afterburners and leave his marker behind. Moreover, he has the reason to put on a show if we put his previous performances into consideration.

His last two games saw him have a poor outing. Opposing defenses smothered him as he was only able to make a grand total of seven receptions during the Falcons' losses to the Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans. His passing yards also took a hit, only notching 94 yards in those games.

A player of Jones' caliber will refuse to left a poor run extend to another game. He has a chance to put on a 100-yard game against the Cardinals, and his chances improved with Peterson's suspension. The stage is set up for him to succeed.

Finally, Jones can finish on a high in Arizona due to the fact that he is Julio Jones. There's no way one of the best wideouts the league has ever seen will allow himself to be stopped.

Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury claimed that he'll hang up his cleats as one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, and he will want to prove that point. Moreover, the Cardinals have a reliable wideout in Larry Fitzgerald. Jones will refuse to be outdone by a fellow wideout and will put on numbers worthy of our attention.

This is Jones' game. The circumstances demand it. He wants it. He'll go out there to prove it.
