Although the Washington Wizards (8-5) are tied with the Toronto Raptors for third place in the Eastern Conference standings, star shooting guard Bradley Beal is not the least bit satisfied. He still thinks that his Wizards squad is the best team in the East, according to a post on Beal's personal website Wednesday afternoon.

“I still believe we’re the best team in the East,” Beal said. “People look at me like I’m crazy when I say that, but what do you expect me to say? I’m confident in my team. I always have confidence in my teammates. I believe in my team and I will never sit here and say that somebody is better than my team. That’s just my mindset. You can call me crazy or insane, but that’s just how we are as a team. We believe that we’re the best.”

Of their five losses, two of them have come at Verizon Center to some pretty poor Western Conference teams. The Wizards lost home games to the Phoenix Suns (5-10) by six points and the lowly Dallas Mavericks (2-13) by an eye-opening 14 points in the span of just six days earlier this month.

In late October, the Wizards also blew leads of 10 points in an overtime loss to the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center and 18 points against the juggernaut Golden State Warriors at Oracle Arena in consecutive games.

The All-Star guard tandem of John Wall and Bradley Beal continues to shine, as the latter leads Washington in scoring with 23.8 points per game while Wall is averaging 20.3 points per game and is third in the NBA with 9.7 assists per contest.

Luckily, Bradley Beal and the Wizards have found their groove as of late and will get a chance to win their fourth game in a row when they take on the Miami Heat (6-7) tonight at American Airlines Arena. This would be a big road win for Washington, as they're still looking up in the Eastern Conference standings at the Detroit Pistons (10-3) and the Boston Celtics (13-2), who are currently on a 13-game winning streak.
