Bradley Beal's name has been thrown in several trade rumors as of late, putting doubt on his future with the Washington Wizards. However, according to general manager Tommy Sheppard, there is no truth to all the talks going around.

Recent rumors indicate that Beal is pondering on whether to request a trade or not. In fact, there have already been several teams linked with the All-Star guard, including the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics.

Nonetheless, Sheppard denied all those rumors and called them nothing but “noise.” He also emphasized he has been in communication with Beal and updating him with their plans, suggesting that the explosive scorer is still all-in when it comes to building a competitive roster in Washington.

“Everything else to me, the outside noise, is just noise,” the Wizards GM said, per The Washington Times. “I just know, whenever I pick up the phone, we have conversations, I give him updates [about] kind of what we’re thinking.”

Sheppard also shared his optimism on surrounding Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook with talent that will allow them to compete in the playoffs and, hopefully, for the title.

“There’s a whole lot of free agents that would love to play with Bradley Beal, that would love to play with Russell Westbrook,” Sheppard added. “Our job is to find the best valued ones. … finding those value guys that can come in and perform, that’s an area we’ve tried to identify and bring those names forward.”

Of course, things can change quickly in the NBA. After all, it might be hard for the Wizards to reject a massive offer for Beal in any trade. At the end of the day, it's still a business.

It is also worth noting that recent reports suggest Beal is not happy with the fact that his top choice for the Wizards' coaching job, Sam Cassell, couldn't even move on to a second interview. Washington hired Wes Unseld Jr. to take over the team.

It remains to be seen what will happen in Washington and with Bradley Beal. However, with the 2021 NBA Draft coming and the free agency following after, there could be a lot of movers.
