Washington Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal scored 47 points against the New Orleans Pelicans, which proved to be not enough to bring home the win, marking the 10th consecutive game where he has scored at least 40 points and lost, via Chase Hughes of NBC Sports.

After the Wizards' loss against the Pelicans, Beal was visibly upset on the court and during the postgame press conference, according to Hughes:

“I've gotta be better with that,” Beal said. “The media is going to blow it up and rightfully so. I'm mad about losing. If I'm sitting over there laughing and smiling, what is the media going to say then? ‘Oh, he doesn't take it serious.' I just hate losing. I hate losing. I'm going to continue to show pissed off faces. I'll try to control it as much as I can.”

Beal can not be blamed though, as his Wizards now sit at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with the worst record in the NBA. Fans hoped that the acquisition of point guard Russell Westbrook from the Houston Rockets would have turned things around for the Wizards. However, nothing has gone right so far except for Beal's showcase of jaw-dropping offensive talent.

Beal has averaged 35.4 points a game along with 5.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists. His league-high points per game average represent the potential that Beal has to be a superstar and compete with some of the best offensive talents in the league. The only question is whether or not it is worth Beal's time and effort to give his everything if he already knows what the end result will be.

Other teams will surely be calling up the Wizards looking for a trade centered around Bradley Beal.
