After the Washington Wizards defeated the Houston Rockets in overtime Monday, Wizards shooting guard Bradley Beal was asked by Dennis Scott of NBA TV to address the report which came out pregame stating that he wants out of the nation's capital.

In the interview, Beal vehemently denied the report, calling it “nonsense.”

Bradley Beal signed a five-year, $127 million deal in 2016 with the Wizards. The former No. 3 overall pick entered Monday night averaging 21.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game on the season while shooting 45.5 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc, and 75.5 percent from the free-throw line.

The Wizards have started the season 8-12, and there are rumors circulating that the front office isn’t opposed to trading point guard John Wall or Bradley Beal. Even if Beal wants out of Washington, he's not going to admit that on national television. The All-Star likely got good advice from his PR staff before the game started. In fact, Beal's agent has already dismissed such rumors.

Bradley Beal has been with the Wizards since 2012. He is the franchise’s all-time leader in 3-pointers. Beal is one of the best shooters in the game and only 25 years old. He can create his own shot off the dribble and help space the floor. Any contending team would love to have Beal on their team.

Zach Lowe of ESPN reported last week that the Wizards are asking for the moon in Bradley Beal trade talks — as they should since Beal is a highly coveted asset.
