Washington Wizards guard Russell Westbrook could have easily been a wide receiver in the NFL like Odell Beckham Jr. Apart from his blistering speed, the one-time NBA MVP has terrific hands and catching ability, which he displayed against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday at Capital One Arena.

Russ made a fantastic read against the Pistons' D as he made a backscreen cut out of a timeout. Wizards swingman Deni Avdija is well aware of Westbrook's hops, as he tossed a high-arching alley-oop pass his way. The nine-time All-Star did not even need his two hands to finish, catching it with his right hand and slamming it down hard in just one motion.

Mid-air, one-handed catches are obviously Odell Beckham Jr.'s thing. However, Russell Westbrook's OBJ impersonation is certainly on-point, although his might actually even been more difficult since he dunked the basketball right after.

With Westbrook on top of his game (literally), the Wizards cruised to an easy 121-100 victory over the Pistons. The 32-year-old superstar did not score that much with just 15 points, but he recorded yet another triple-double with 14 rebounds and 11 assists. Oh, and he also got two steals in 30 minutes of play.
