The red-hot Washington Wizards are continuing their rise. Through their five-game winning streak, they have now jumped into the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

In that span, the team’s display of beautiful basketball has them putting up 115.8 points and a whopping 32.3 assists per game on 51.2-percent shooting.

Zach Lowe of ESPN just tweeted an amazing stat referencing all of the recent offensive onslaughts that the Wizards are showcasing:

With a stretch where they are scoring eight more points and dishing out 10 more assists per game than their season averages right after John Wall gets sidelined, and Bradley Beal suddenly saying that “Everybody eats… Everybody gets to touch [the ball], everybody gets shots” in the middle of all that, rumors were made that Wall isn't well-liked in the locker room. Beal, however, has diffused the controversy, and has cleared up what he had meant.

Beyond that explanation, the improvement in ball distribution can be simply credited to the coaching staff and the team constantly moving the ball since no one is setting them up to score.

As such is also showing up on the stat sheet in the current winning streak. In each of the team's last five games, at least four Wizards have recorded three or more assists, with Beal and Tim Frazier leading the way by combining for over 12 dimes per contest.

The Wizards are 31-22 and have overtaken the Heat for the fourth spot in the East. They could also move past the third-seeded 31-20 Cleveland Cavaliers soon.
