It's no secret that the Washington Wizards are doing everything they can to keep Bradley Beal in D.C. This includes making some major roster moves this offseason in an attempt to convince Beal to remain with the team.

According to Wizards team insider Quinton Mayo, Washington has kept tabs on San Antonio Spurs All-Star point guard Dejounte Murray. They also have the likes of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Malcolm Brogdon on their radar:

League sources say they’ve checked in with Oklahoma City regarding Shai Gilgeous Alexander, San Antonio regarding Dejounte Murray, and Indiana regarding Malcom Brogdon. Beal is believed to welcome the acquisition of any of the three, I’m told.

Those are some pretty big names the Wizards are currently looking at, and they clearly want to make a splash this summer. As the above report states, Beal would be more than willing to welcome any of these three fellows to Washington, which could be an indication of his willingness to stay.

Beal currently has a player option on his current deal for the 2022-23 season. The worst-case scenario for the Wizards is if their superstar opts to walk away as a free agent, thereby leaving them with nothing to show for it. Needless to say, that would have a tremendous impact on the future of the franchise.
