Bradley Beal wants to be the Dirk Nowitzki of the Washington Wizards, but that hasn't stopped rival teams and players from trying to recruit him.

With a player option for the 2022-23 season, Beal has complete control over his destiny. If he opts out and decides to test the free agent market, there will be plenty of teams that'll fall in line to sign him. If he chooses to stay, he could get the maximum five-year, $20 million deal with the Wizards.

As Beal said it, he expects the free agency and his situation with the Wizards to be “crazy.” Besides, there are already players who have reached out to him.

“A lot,” Beal said when asked how many players have tried to recruit him, per Noah Trister of Associated Press. “You know I can’t give you names.”

For what it's worth, the Los Angeles Lakers have been recently linked with Bradley Beal to form a Big 3 with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. So far, though, there has been no clear indication if any team is leading to steal the star guard away from Washington.

If another team lures Beal away from the Wizards, it is more than likely that the franchise makes a full rebuild. They have a plethora of young talent, but without a true superstar, they wouldn't be able to compete for the postseason.

A lot hinges on Beal's decision this offseason, and he is expected to make it sooner rather than later.
