Kansas Jayhawks star Christian Braun is fresh off an NCAA Championship and will now look to make an impact at the next level for the Denver Nuggets, who drafted him with the 21st overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

Braun played a big role for Kansas in its run to another title, averaging 14.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists across 40 games for the Jayhawks in 2021-22. He shot an effective 49.5% from the field, alongside a serviceable 38.6% from 3-point range, taking just 3.5 attempts per game.

At 6-6, Braun has good size for a combo guard at the next level. He's both strong and athletic, which will play into his favor when transitioning to the NBA, where he'll be facing far bigger competition than at the collegiate level. Braun is a capable playmaker and ballhandler, though he's probably better suited to the shooting guard position at the NBA level.

Additionally, Braun is a strong defender capable of covering multiple positions along the perimeter. His tenacity in the rebounding department will be a big boost for the Nuggets, too. He has to improve as a shooter in order to become a reliable 3 and D option at the next level, but Braun has the makings of being a solid role player if he can continue to develop.

After being crowned a National Champion in 2022, Braun is now set for the next step in his basketball journey and he'll be making it in Denver, hoping to become a key player for the Nuggets in the near future.
