Alabama Crimson Tide freshman Juwan Gary, who was a four-star recruit coming out of high school, is going to miss the upcoming college basketball season with an injury.

In a statement released by the school, it was mentioned he would be missing the 2019-20 season with a knee injury. He's actually the second Alabama freshman to be sidelined due to injury before the upcoming campaign even started.

While Juwan Gary was a four-star prospect coming out of high school, with some outlets pegging him to be one of the 60 or so best players in his class, it's difficult to predict what kind of role he would be playing in new Alabama coach Nate Oats' rotation.

Nevertheless, it's still a significant loss for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

This will be Oats' first run at it with the program and there's already a decent set of expectations on it. Despite the program firing Avery Johnson at the end of last season, the cupboards remain full of good enough talent to make a run in the NCAA Tournament.

Regardless, hopefully Juwan Gary makes a full recovery and is eventually able to help the Alabama Crimson Tide.
