As Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is set for arguably the biggest game of his career in the upcoming 2022 AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs, he is simply eager for the challenge that awaits him this Sunday.

“We're excited about the opportunity,” Burrow said during a press conference on Wednesday.

Burrow has had a multitude of grand tests over the course of his football career, whether it was in LSU’s national championship-winning run in 2019 or this season in his second campaign in Cincinnati.

This time around, the one-time Heisman Trophy winner well recognizes the task ahead that his Bengals team will face against a squad that has been the premier team in the AFC as of late.

“Obviously a really good team,” Burrow said. “If you want to do the things that we want to do, that's a team that you're going to have to beat every single year. The AFC has run through them for four straight years.

“We're gonna have a great week of practice, and we'll be ready to go.”

The last time that Burrow faced off against the reigning AFC champions, he had one of the more potent showings of his young career in the league. He guided Cincinnati to a 14-point comeback win in Week 17, which included four touchdown passes and a notable 148.0 passer rating. The Bengals wound up clinching the AFC North with the win over the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs.

Burrow has been lauded by many so far in the ongoing playoffs, and he could once again etch his name in Bengals franchise history if he can lead Cincinnati to an upset playoff road victory against the Chiefs this week.
