The Portland Trail Blazers were dealt a tough blow during the 2022 NBA Draft lottery and nobody was more bummed about it than Damian Lillard.
Not only did the Blazers fail to move up to the top four spots, they also fell even lower than their projected sixth pick. Lillard was Portland's representative at the NBA Draft lottery so his live reaction was there for the world to see as they were leapfrogged by the Sacramento Kings and fell to the seventh pick.

The disappointment was etched on the Blazers star's face there. Domantas Sabonis, who repped the Kings, couldn't help but shoot Dame a cheeky grin for drawing the result that Lillard would've wanted.
The Blazers had to recalibrate their roster this season as they dealt with a slew of injuries, including a major one to Damian Lillard. That sent them tumbling down the standings and eventually forced their hand to trade veterans CJ McCollum, Robert Covington, and Norman Powell to make way for their young players.
Portland has some major decisions to make with their roster as Damian Lillard is firmly in his prime while the rest of the roster skews younger. What they do with the pick, or Damian Lillard for that matter, is anybody's guess.
