The Portland Trail Blazers are officially in the running for the last spot on this year's Western Conference playoff picture. With the huge win over the Brooklyn Nets Thursday night, the Blazers have sealed a play-in match-up against the Memphis Grizzlies to battle it out for the final spot in the West.

With the win, the Blazers cemented their spot as the eighth-seeded team in the highly-competitive Western Conference and will enjoy a twice-to-beat advantage over the Grizzlies in a potential three-game series.

The last time these two teams met, it was just a couple of weeks ago as they both started their seeding game scheduled against each other inside the NBA Bubble in Orlando. The Blazers edged out the Grizzlies on that one with the tandem of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum combining for 62 points.

The past few weeks have been a roller coaster journey for the Blazers as they climbed their way to playoff contention in Orlando. Lillard, who seems to be locked in as this year's Bubble MVP, has been on a tear and put his team on his back with a series of 50+ point games. After his 61-point performance against the Dallas Mavericks, Dame became the only Blazer in franchise history to tally back-to-back 50-point games. He's also enjoyed the support of his backcourt partner in McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic has also put up huge numbers as the Blazers' starting center.

Game 1 of the play-in duel between the Blazers and the Grizzlies is set for Saturday and game two (if necessary) to follow the day after. The winner of the play-in will have the unenviable spot of facing the top-seeded Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the playoffs.
