When it comes to huge 2021 offseason moves, it seems that there's never enough for the Toronto Blue Jays. After taking two of the biggest free-agent pitchers off the market and trading for star third baseman Matt Chapman, they're looking to add one more star to their infield and become a superteam.

According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Blue Jays are inquiring about superstar infielder Jose Ramirez. The Cleveland Guardians third baseman can play all over the infield and hit with the best of them. Toronto wants to slide him into the second-base role that Marcus Semien vacated earlier in the offseason.

In 152 games last season, Ramirez hit 36 home runs and stole 27 bases (against just four failed attempts) and posted a slash line of .266/.355/.538 for Cleveland. Rosenthal added that the three-time All-Star won't be easy to trade for. The Blue Jays should still make a serious run at the 29-year-old slugger.

With MVP finalist Vlad Guerrero Jr. manning first base, All-Star Bo Bichette playing shortstop and one of the best defenders in the majors playing third base, plugging Ramirez in at second base would make the Blue Jays as stacked as any infield in a long time. With an outfield full of stellar hitters who helped them lead the league in scoring last season, Toronto's lineup would be every pitcher's nightmare.

Toronto won 91 games last season but missed the playoffs by just one game. With the additions they have made so far, they are on course to be one of the best teams this season.
