The Denver Broncos pulled off a big-time trade with Baltimore Ravens to acquire Super Bowl-winning quarterback Joe Flacco on Wednesday. Flacco never saw the field again in 2018 after a hip injury sidelined him and rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson took over. Now that the Broncos have Flacco it appears they are already moving on from quarterback Case Keenum.

The Broncos could opt to keep Keenum as a viable backup, or they can continue to shop him, either way, it's apparent Flacco is already the new man in Denver. Flacco is one of the league's more consistent quarterbacks, and Keenum struggled mightily last season after an impressive 2017 season.

Keenum didn't have much of a shot at times though in 2018 after facing a lot of adversity. Denver traded wide receiver Demaryius Thomas and his favorite target Emmanuel Sanders missed a good chunk of the season due to injury.

The Broncos, unfortunately, look to be very far from the roster they once had just a few years ago after winning the Super Bowl over the Carolina Panthers. The defense and offense were both elite units a few seasons ago, but now only the defense is the bright spot for the Broncos. The offense looks stagnant at times, and if it weren't for rookie running back Phillip Lindsay, it could be even worse.

The trade to acquire Flacco cannot be made until March 13th, but the tension surely exists already between Keenum and the organization. The Broncos signed Keenum to be their long term solution at quarterback, but that idea didn't last very long, unfortunately.
