Hue Jackson can't stop taking losses. Jackson, who had an ignominious stint as head coach of the Cleveland Browns, sustained yet another setback, with reports coming out that his allegation of the franchise intentionally tanking games during the 2016 and 2017 seasons has been tossed out due to lack of evidence.

Via Jake Trotter of ESPN:

The NFL announced that after a 60-day review, independent investigators led by former Securities and Exchange Commission chair Mary Jo White “determined that none of the allegations could be substantiated.”

Investigators spoke with different personalities connected to the Browns during the two seasons Jackson alleged Cleveland resorted to willful tanking, but apparently there simply was not sufficient information to hold the franchise accountable.

The NFL also said Jimmy Haslam was interviewed, as were other current and former members of the organization. The Browns also provided documents to help investigators.

Jackson took over as head coach of the Browns in 2016 and managed to steer Cleveland that season to just a single win against 15 losses. Following that campaign, Jackson vowed that the Browns wouldn't fare worse than that. Unfortunately for him and the Browns, the team embarrassingly went winless in 2017 — the only actual way Cleveland could've topped the 2016 disaster.

The Browns would start the 2018 NFL season with Jackson still at the helm but he was fired before the season ended.  Overall, Jackson had a 3-26-1 record as head coach of the Browns.
