Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo joined a peaceful protest on Saturday in Milwaukee. Sporting an “I Can't Breathe” shirt, the Greek Freak delivered a strong message of unity to the crowd.

“This is our city, man. We gotta come out here and support. We want change. We want justice. That's why we're out here. That's what we're gonna do today. That's why I'm gonna march with you guys. I want my kids to walk in Milwaukee, not to be scared to walk in this place. I don't want my kid to have hate in his heart,” the Bucks star and reigning NBA MVP said.

Giannis also assured the people of Milwaukee that he is with them throughout the fight against racial injustice and systemic racism.

“We don't do this for publicity. I really don't care about publicity. I just want the city of Milwaukee to know that I am here,” Giannis added.

Those who joined Giannis Antetokounmpo in the rally are his brother Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Bucks teammates Sterling Brown, Donte DiVincenzo, Brook Lopez and Frank Mason.

Seeing a player like Giannis participate in these rallies will certainly bring inspiration, not only to the people of Milwaukee but also to the entire country. Several other NBA stars have joined the street protests in their respective cities, with Jaylen Brown even initiating a movement by spearheading a rally in Atlanta.

Golden State Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, likewise, joined a protest in Oakland a couple of days ago.

Protests against police brutality and racial injustice have erupted all over the United States following the death of George Floyd, a 46-year old African American killed in police custody in Minneapolis. People are calling on for change and unity in order to stop to the injustices, especially towards African Americans in the country.
