Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Milwaukee Bucks to another victory on Thursday, edging out fellow Eastern Conference contenders, the Philadelphia 76ers, 112-101. In the process, the reigning Most Valuable Player winner also made a bit of history, joining no less than the great Wilt Chamberlain in Giannis' latest statistical feat.

Antetokounmpo finished Wednesday night's impressive outing with 36 points (13-of-25 from the field, 9-of-12 from the line), 20 rebounds, six assists, a steal, and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes of action. Over his last five games, the 25-year-old is averaging 32.2 points (on 54.1 percent shooting), 17.6 rebounds, 7.2 assists, 0.8 steals, and 1.0 blocks, while also knocking down 0.8 3-pointers per ballgame. Wow. Just wow.

More importantly, Giannis has helped the Bucks to a league-best 44-7 record. Right now, Milwaukee is on track to match the Golden State Warriors' historic 73-9 season back in the 2015-16 season. There's still a long way to go for the Bucks, but judging by how they have been playing of late, this is actually something that they might be able to pull off. This is without question, thanks in large part to Antetokounmpo and his amazing season.

The Bucks were avid observers during the recently-concluded trade deadline, as they opted not to make any roster moves. Nonetheless, they are still considered to be the heavy favorites to come out of the East this season, and their decision to stand pat and keep their current team as it seems like the right decision given their current standing.
