Remember when many got worried for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo after suffering a knee injury against the Atlanta Hawks? Yeah, that sounds funny now. Except if you're a fan of the Phoenix Suns.

Giannis has been having a historic run in his first NBA Finals stint, finishing with at least 40 points and 10 rebounds in each of their last two games. He acknowledged the fact that the Suns have defensive schemes specifically made for him, making the two-time MVP recall the first time he saw the “wall” defense of opposing squads (via ESPN).

“The first time I saw the wall was probably two years ago. But I was always capable of passing before that. It's something that I always liked to do. I had coaches and people throughout my career that helped me with finding the right guy, finding the right pass, making the right play. But once I started seeing the wall, two years ago, now it's almost, it's about trust.”

Because of his rocky shooting, Giannis has relied on his athleticism and strength to constantly get to the rim. This has forced opposing teams to employ a wall of defenders around him to try and stop him. And for Giannis, it served as extra motivation, even in a funny way.

“There's a team that's building the wall of three people and two guys behind and trying to stop you. Now you have to not take it personal and make the right play, find the right guy. I feel like I did that better since two years ago. It's funny that there's a defense out there called the Giannis Wall. It's funny to me, you know?”

Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks will try to even things up against the Suns on Wednesday.
